The songs people know her from - YBWM, LS, WANEEGBT - are cute pop songs along the lines of what the Disney girls release. They're not country masterpieces. They're like Party In The USA / I Love You LIke A Love Song (though those 2 are arguably better than Taylor's big hits).

In your opinion? She's already topped Faith's biggest hits with her first two albums alone sir. So where are your logics. She'll pass Shania in overall record sales after her 7th or 8th album, depending on her growth worldwide. But just know she'll do it in her career. Shania's chart success isn't that long of a hurdle for her to archive

But thats your opinion, in my opinion she has. Everything about the industry goes back to sales, it determines what the public listens to. Y'all continue to praise ADELE as real music but want to say Taylor has no classics when its clear she has a lot. Music is subjective so your opinion doesn't mean it is fact. It it were why is Taylor receiving all these awards like Shania and Faith? The contradictions in this thread.

Well, ppl who praised the MM tracks were trying to pigeonhole her and putting her with the likes of Katy Perrys & Carly Rae Jepsens of the world. That's not a good thing.

Cut the MM tracks, and add more tracks like "Stay Stay Stay." SSS is self-aware, fun, and harmless. And Top40 doesn't mean a lot these days, does it?

Yeah, well when those reviewers are giving Katy Perry and Carly Rae Jepsens 8/10 reviews, you can come talk to me about them putting her with the likes of them.

Max Martin's songs are the best things on the album, aside from State of Grace. And I sort of feel like the only people afraid to admit it are Taylor Swift fans, because even Spin and Slant managed to say it.
