I don't even think it's just promo, it's her fans lOL. Selenators are a lot like the navy. They/Us don't feel the need to go out and buy the album the first week.
For comparison, Demi has a huge opening week but drops her second week. Selena opens "well" but has a very modest drop her second week. I think that last year, they sold about the same amount in the first weeks with the difference being that most of Demi's sales were frontloaded.
