For me her "bad period" was the one that made me even a bigger stan.
I remember by 2005 or 2006 I was getting a bit bored of Britney, she was not releasing new music, she wasn't touring , she was just getting pregnant, etc , it was a bit boring back then and I was almost ready to move on with her.
Until 2007 came and I started to see that mess, and I was so worried for her, I just thought that Britney needed me, I prayed for her, and since then I've been a heavy Britney supporter even more than before, I became a bigger stan in 2007

I became hardcore stan during the bad period. I remember feeling so sad for her, like "that is no way to live" with all the paparazzi.
I'd snap and defend her with every single person. Like Leave Britney Alone mother****er

I was worried for Britney. I couldn't believe the magazines already had her death announcement ready to go There was a time when I really didn't think she could make it, or even get back to herself.
Then Circus era began

Those times were really crazy and intense, I remember every day I turned on the TV and Britney had done another new crazy stuff , and I was like worried, my biggest fear was like "whats coming next"?, on some point, I was affraid to see on the news that Britney was found dead.
I remember I thought that if Britney could recover from all that mess, Many years would happen for her to comeback to music.
but suddenly she started to lose weight, the scandals just stopped, she got back her kids, it was announced her new album, she won Video of the year at the VMAS, she was beautiful again, then she released "Womanizer" it hit the #1 it was massive , and she just comeback and I was like d*amn , I never imagined she would do it so quickly, literally earlier that year she was on a freaking Hospital.

It's amazing how much changed from January to September. She got healthy again, took care of herself, STAYED INDOORS!, got on great terms with her parents again, got her kids back, and delivered one of the greatest comeback stories of all time.
The weirdest thing is that we'll never know what really happened. It's all so mysterious, considering how public the events were.

It was like a soap opera with her, I was watching the news everyday to see what she was gonna do next. At first it was something to be entertained, but then I was worried. I remember everyone talking how she would join the 27 club, and commite suicide. I actually became a bigger fan, then I eventually staned for her. Gimme More came out, and everyone was talking it, and her soon to be performance. Britney was gonna comeback hard. I watched the VMAs, and to behonest, I liked the performance. I got Blockout, and every since then. I was a huge stan of hers.

I remember everyone was shocked with the "Gimme More" performance, everyone was like WTF with Britney?, there was a big controversy back then with that performance, however the song was liked, the reception of the song by the public was good, I remember my friends who weren't Britney stans were like "Her performance was meh and she was kind of "fat", but I like her song" .... . . . the song was really accepted.
Obviously I knew her album was not going to sell much, because all the scandals and what was going on, her private life was going to outshadow her music for sure, I just knew that since the beggining.
The ironic thing is that now I see that "Gimme More" performance and I actually like it, and I even find it Iconic, the photos of the GM perf are iconic images of Britney Spears for me.

I remember everyone saying "OMG she went onstage in her bra and panties" and I was thinking, three years ago she performed in a bra and panties every night in her concert but y'all didn't care then
The only real problem with that performance was her attitude (skipping rehearsal, just not caring) which made her seem less impressive, and her look (messy hair, bad outfit). I wonder if the magic show version would have been better.

She actually knew the choreography and everything. Her look was just not good at the time, if she had energy as well as proper hair, make-up, costume. She would of slayed it easily, still an iconic performance nonetheless.

I became a bigger fan too, and I felt really proud when she made her comeback.
I used to play Blackout all the time, and I told everybody about how amazing the album was.
