The Yahoo! comments are surprising, they're usually trashing her.

How was Genie any more daring than any N'Sync and Britney songs released at the time? Just because it was slightly more R&B leaning?
She is a mess.

Basically the same with all my family and friends watching. The only criticism they have for Britney on US XF is that "she looks old"! Thankfully, that can easily be fixed and with her looking miles better recently during her promo appearances than at the auditions, I have faith she'll win everyone over with her looks come the live shows!

The irony. Your Body is one of the worst songs produced by Max Martin.

That examiner article/thread didn't lie though. If ratings dont pick up during the live shows, Xfactor is going bye bye next season.

If X Factor continues for another season and Brit is still on board, will she get a paycut? I don't think Simon can afford another $15 mil with these ratings...

Yeah I agree and I think Britney wouldn't take the job with a lower salarie I hope that she starts recording and gave us an era with proper promo since she's very secure now.

I want her to do another season as it is a great platform for promotion. And it fits in with an ideal schedule: Sept. single & Q4 2013 album 8th release date.

Where is the logic in it getting cancelled. What I don't think people understand is, advertisers covered all of the cost of X Factor for Fox, the same as it did first season (although advertisers weren't happy about that).
Fox has only made money from X Factor rather than lose it, not to mention Fox is doing horrible all around the board ( even their baseball lineup is flopping), aside from American Idol, X Factor is it's only other ratings bringer
If they have been able to keep So You Think You Can Dance for all these years, even with it's increasing cost to keep afloat, they won't cancel X Factor.
But I do think she won't get a raise if she stays, but it they try to give her a paycut, she'll bounce.

If advertisers don't see a great return for the money they are spending on X Factor they will leave. You can't compare X Factor with SYTYCD. X factor is a much more costly show: Simon's huge salary, Brit's $15 mil, the $5 mil prize, all the production cost, etc.
I don't think X Factor will get cancel, but if ratings don't pick up there will definitely be some cost cuts.

X Factor will be most likely cancelled because the ratings this season ARE disappointing and NOT what Simon brought Britney on for 15 Million for.
If ratings don't increase a lot, I'm almost sure Simon will end the show and just return to the UK version.
And if it does come back for another season, I highly doubt they'd want Britney to stay on.

Fox is like NBC they don't cancel **** unless it gets like a 1.0 in the demos.
The highest rated show on Fox after X Factor gets like 4 million views and has a 1.2 demo rating, and it's already listed as "likely cancellation" by TvByTheNumbers

Why is X Factor doing so poorly? All other shows get boring after auditions.

This is the first time I've actually watched all the way through, a singing competitions auditions process. I usually wait till the Live shows to start watching,it always bores me.

Tell the truth brother!
x factor ratings are average, but still top Fox show and still top 10 overall. Ratings this year are a mess, Ok Voice is doing good but even that is 20% less then second season.
They are only 3 shows with demo bigger then 4.0... Thats Voice, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family and thats that...
X Factor is safe, i dont think Britney will be back next year not because of paychek, but because i think she was bored during audtion process.
X Factor still needs a big name, i think they will get rid of Demi and hire i dont know Miley or Kelly Clarkson..
