- Adele: Buzz generated by the arrival of her James Bond theme song "Skyfall" helps stir her 21 album to a 10% increase. It holds at No. 14 and moved 25,000 copies last week. The set is only 125,000 copies away from hitting the 10 million sales mark, an achievement that seems doable before the end of the year. The last album to cross the 10 million mark was Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory, which achieved the feat in the week ending Aug. 19.
British newcomer Cher Lloyd captures at No. 9 debut with her first U.S. album "Sticks & Stones" (31,000) while veteran singer Van Morrison starts at No. 10 with "Born to Sing: No Plan B" (29,000). The latter ties Morrison's highest-rank ever, when 2008's "Keep It Simple" also debuted and peaked at No. 10.
