 1. "Call Your Girlfriend"
 Average: 9.4654
High: 10 (17x) - WoozyFloozy, HausOfJabril, Drowned_World, jqnetto, Stevie, castle13, Navin, bleuwaffle, TheGeoKing, Pelvic Thrust, THERihFan, Konichiwa, sticks, Disco_Blisters, Eric., electroheart, zombaland
Low: 5.5 (1x) - lovesong Synopsis
The second single from the Body Talk era and the winner of the Sweden Rocks! rate is "Call Your Girlfriend". Robyn tries to advice her lover how to break up with his old girlfriend gently, so she can be with him. It is an emotional electropop track that features many synths and a buzzing rhythm. The song received critical acclaim and like "Dancing On My Own", it was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Grammys. "Call Your Girlfriend" did not have the major chart success of "Dancing On My Own" but it did manage to make it to number one on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs (Robyn's first). It also went to 8 in Belgium and 43 in Sweden. Well, that's about it. Congrats to "Call Your Girlfriend" and Robyn for being so successful in our rate.

 Standout Lines
"Then you tell her that the only way her heart will mend is when she learns to love again / And it won't make sense right now but you're still her friend / And then you let her down easy"

 2. "Dancing On My Own"
 Average: 9.3654
High: 10 (19x) - WoozyFloozy, HausOfJabril, Drowned_World, jqnetto, castle13, Navin, bleuwaffle, TheGeoKing, THERihFan, Konichiwa, sticks, Sloth, madonnas, dancepopCC, Eric., electroheart, zombaland, ManDown, Ace Reject
Low: 6 (1x) - ClassicMainstream Synopsis
The first single from the Body Talk era was our much loved "Dancing On My Own". Inspired by gay disco anthems, the song is an electronic ballad where Robyn sings about being alone in a club while watching her ex-lover with another woman. It has similar underlying tones of sadness and loneliness as Robyn's previous singles, "With Every Heartbeat" and "Handle Me". The track received as wide range of success, including critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. Chart success including a number one peak in Sweden (Robyn's first #1 in her native country), top 10 in many other European countries, and a number 3 peak on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. "Dancing On My Own" won the Fall 2011 Massacre rate, if you didn't already know, but it comes up short here, being defeated by "Call Your Girlfriend".

 Standout Lines
"So far away, but still so near / The lights go on, the music dies / But you don't see me standing here, I just came to say goodbye"

 Congrats to Robyn
Even though I don't really like it all that much, I am fine with the outcome. Now lemme prepare for any dragging of my lowest score...

Congrats on such a fun rate! Love the music and the way you handled everything!  |

Yay Robyn! I prefer DOMO to CYG but I'm fine with it winning. Great rate! (Even though I missed most of it.)   |

Well, looks like we're finally done here. I wasn't expecting to take over full control of hosting but I enjoyed myself and I hope you guys did too! Thanks to everyone who voted!
Sorry for the lack the of graphics, but I finally got Photoshop this weekend so I hope to provide nice graphics in my future rates. My next one will probably be "This Was 2011" with St. Vincent, PJ Harvey, Destroyer, tUnE-yArDs, and Wild Flag. I hope to see many of you there when that does happen.

Thanks again guys!    |

Ah not a surprise but it's fine. DOMO is a good runner up that's for sure.
WELL DONE STEVIE it was a fun rate! I got into some good artists and finally looked into Robyn after this rate.

Very good winner, even though the overall results are rather... polarizing.
And great job with the rate Stevie. Great selection of music, concept, summaries and engagement with the participants.  |
