It was another tight race, but The Killers slightly edge out The Kaiser Chiefs and Read My Mind secures a solid 5th week at the top of the chart. Don’t count out Ruby by any means, the track is still strong. Joining the top 5 mix this week is TV On The Radio, who have built a relatively quite chart run into a top 5 hit with Wolf Like Me.

Bloc Party continue to be a force within the top 10, and the likes of Amy Winehouse, The Fratellis, and The Arcade Fire are also beginning to see sizeable gains.

Count ‘em up, three debuts this week. The first comes from Incubus, their first track to chart since Drive. The next two come from rnb crooner John Legend and iPod jingle junkies, The Fratellis.

Hey gang! This is Roger’s Weekly Top 30 for the charting period of March 23rd – March 29th, 2007.

Can you believe it? After 5 weeks up top, The Killers have surrendered the #1 spot to The Kaiser Chiefs, even if it is only temporary. Both Ruby and Read My Mind should remain as the top 2 contenders for the next few weeks before Bloc Party intervenes, and even a distant Amy Winehouse who looms as a potential serious threat in April.

As many songs begin to slow down, others begin to capitalize. Those feeling the benefit include The Arcade Fire, Incubus, and The Fratellis with Flathead, which has unfortunately took away some major steam from Whistle for the Choir.

Two debuts this week. Arctic Monkeys are back and blazing more than ever with the infectious Brianstorm. Following up the #2 peak of This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race, is Fall Out Boy who debut this week with their sophomore album’s second single, Thanks fr th Mmrs.

March 30th – April 5th, 2007

Well, for all those who were surprised at The Killers being displaced from the top last week, it might not be as surprising to see them quickly regain the top spot for a 6th non-consecutive week with Read My Mind as The Kaiser Chiefs slide down 3 spots to #4.

Trying to approach the top 5 is the very strong Amy Winehouse who scoots up a couple of spots this week. Also looking incredibly strong are the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Incubus, and The Fratellis.

A trio of fire debuts this week rounds off the chart. The Bravery return with the debut single off their soon to be released sophomore album and hope to follow up the Top 10 success of previous singles. Three Days Grace are back with a much better single, Never Too Late, while Red Hot Chili Peppers look to rebound after a few disappointing chart runs with Desecration Smile, and Snow (Hey Oh), as Hump De Bump find it’s way onto the chart.

April 6th - April 12th, 2007. Have a safe and happy Easter.

It was a tight one this week, but surprisingly enough, Bloc Party shoot up 4 spots to claim the pole position with I Still Remember. This sends The Killers back down to the #2 position, but never count them out. Amy Winehouse also makes her arrival into the top 5 this week.

The likes of Incubus and Arctic Monkeys continue to tear it up as they approach the top 10, while The Arcade Fire and The Fratellis are feeling the effects of initial burn out, and have slowed down slightly.

Another exciting week in the debut department, with three more fresh faces added to the mix this week. Top honors go to red-hot Amy Winehouse who now charts with Rehab, her biggest single in the UK to date. Linkin Park and Plain White T's represent the Alternative scene well and round out this week's last 2 debuts.

In what seemed like a potential come back, The Killers hold tight yet again in the runner up spot as Bloc Party command a second week in the pole position. Amy Winehouse continues to impose as she slides up to #3, while Tokyo Police Club continue to show remarkable endurance in the top 5.

Arctic Monkeys are explosive right now, along with Incubus. Both bands should find no trouble getting into that top 5 and staying there for a while. The Arcade Fire is really starting to slow down, surprisingly. Neon Bible is a rather good album as a whole, but it's singles fail to shine on their own.

Two debuts this week. One of them comes from Top 40 and AC mainstays Maroon 5 who return to the scene with their catchy tune Makes Me Wonder. My Chemical Romance also chart with the Internationally released I Don't Love You, which hopes to follow in the top 10 success of it's predecessors from The Black Parade.
