Actually yes. In the pop World what matters the most is sales. This is why you see people annoucing pregnancies as selling strategies. Using fans suicides as selling strategies. Creating fake vendettas as selling strategies. Showing boobs at sport events as selling strategies. Etc.

commerical success, yes britney is better but critical success, janet is far better. she has rhythm nation, control, and velvet rope CD's in her catalog. she is more respected critically than britney. britney isnt seen as a ''deep'' artist except by her stans. she still has better sales figures though. this is why this debate is pointless. its because its a draw. one is more superior with sales and the other with acclaim.
