Even with an improved “X Factor” lead-in, “Glee”‘s second Britney Spears special failed to capture the ratings magic of the first one.
Though the performance in the adults 18-49 demographic and among total viewers should be comparable, this week’s “Glee” actually fell slightly in the overnight metered markets to a 5.3 rating. Last week’s season premiere delivered a 5.6.
By most standards, certainly of those for a show that has vastly cooled off from a buzz standpoint, the first two “Glee” episodes have still performed well in the overnight ratings. The question is now whether “Glee” can maintain that respectable performance as major competitive networks CBS and ABC populate their 9PM hours with originals.
FOX’s 8PM edition of “The X Factor,” meanwhile, posted a 7.0 metered market rating, off half hours of 6.5 and 7.5. Though still down from last year’s performance, this marks a 9% increase from last Thursday’s number.
But YA'LL, don't open a ratings thread yet... It will get closed, so it's best to wait for the FINAL and higher numbers.
and if haters are gonna make one, please don't enter. I've got 2 WPs yesterday for the meltdown I had from the fake number I've learned how to calm myself down already.

If the thread's opener isn't one of us, NOBODY ENTERS.
