No, I was literally just behind the pit with a head-on view of the stage. It was chaos there too, especially when she went to the front of the catwalk. Amazing though.

That doesn't say anything tough. She she says the same number at every single show. She even said it while performing in arena in front of 15k.
That doesn't mean it was the number of people, I'm sure she doesn't even know how many they were.
From what I could see, I'd say most of the empty seats were sectioned off judging by the shape of the gaps. Even in the lower south stand.
There were empty seats dotted around, mostly in the upper tiers...but I really doubt it brought down the attendance to 40k. Especially with how packed the pitch was. Plus, the design of the stadium meant that not many seats were cut off by the stage at all.
