I remember someone talking about how they got warned for calling Andre 3000, 3 stacks when that has been like a signature alias of his for years yet I see people calling Madonna "Madge" on a regular basis with no reprecussion. So a bitch is confused and inquiring minds would like to know.

I can't speak for other mods, but I don't warn nicknames that the celebrities use. What happens is that, sometimes, certain mods are unaware - if you're not that deep into hip-hop, you'd have no idea that Dre calls himself 3 Stacks.
OTOH, virtually everyone knows Madge - it's more common to call her that than the Material Girl these days.
