The amount of views don't match the number of posts. Seems many are too disappointed to comment.

No one was talking about your fave last year though.

They were talking about Beyoncé, Gaga, Britney, Adele, and the Amy tribute.

The only mention of Katy was that horrible cheese she was wearing on ha head.

NO ONE that attended had any pull to their name except Taylor. Half the viewers were probably her fans.

Historically, the VMA's were always aired on Thursday.

Changing it to Sunday happened recently in 2004.

2004-2005: Sunday evening
2007-2011: Sunday evening

Every other year it was Thursday evening. Try again.

Not Gaga being credited for the VMA. Check her below 1M interview.
Adele and Britney were the one who brought ratings last year.

This is quite embarrassing for MTV seeing that they got beaten by BET. The opening performance needs to be on point to keep viewers... So we have no choice but to blame Rihanna.

Child, Beyonce rubbing the tummy was a surprise. No one knew about it. That didn't bring in numbers. It brought silly gifs, fake pregnancy rumors and gossip of how gimmicky her stunt was to sell her records.

Beyonce rubbed the tummy several minutes BEFORE the VMA's aired while on the red carpet.

Twitter rumors of Bey's pregnancy took over the internet before the show started.

It brought in the views.
