Some of her GGGB singles are well over 4m, which is very impressive for the time they were released. No one was selling singles like her during that era. So to say she was never the digital seller is reaching.
Also, you'll notice her songs with the highest amount of airplay are her urban crossovers. Its no secret that the urban community have the least amount of share when it comes to buying singles on itunes today. Therefore it shouldn't come as a surprise that they underperform digitally.
