It's safe and has been done before. Kelly, Avril, P!nk herself have all pulled this type of song. It's not necessarily a negative term in this case, cause it's good. But it's generic.

I'm liking these throwback songs though. Mr Know It All, You Love Me and Alone sh!t. Try and Blow Me kinda have that feel too. I hope there will be more songs like that on TTAL.
As a P!nk fan, I confess that I think this is as P!nk as it gets. It's a trademark Max Martin-like generic pop rock song. It's well thought out. It sounds like a cross between P!nk/Kelly Clarkson/Adam Lambert. I love it but I don't understand how anyone can "defend" it and say it's not generic. It is. And that's not a bad thing. The song will do very well.
