I don't think the change was that drastic to make country audience totally abandon her. She has always released pop-ish songs and the backlash for WANEGBT wasn't even that big, the song is generally well-received.

I thought Enchanted had the best of both worlds. It was amazing sonically and lyrically. No part of the song sounded the same. I sometimes prefer it without Taylor's vocal because it is just that good.
