Damn, she sold almost 2.5 M without the US, that's really impressive.
I guess so, but that means the U.S is not here for her. I guess its about if you want to be more international or local. I remember Lil Wayne selling like one million and a few thousand copies, and one million of it was from the U.S.

girl
how is the us supposed to know about you if you have no promo there? she did snl and a few interviews.......that's it
shock sounds so negative. it surprised me in a good way, I never thought so many people would be here for her because she's not so much about getting herself out there and trying to become famous. I expected her to kinda stay underground but I'm happy she's getting recognized all over the world now (and I'm sure the US will come around too eventually)
I'm pleased more than shocked. Soon as I heard Video Games I had a feeling she *could* be a special talent but of course that could've been a one-off fluke of an amazing song. The album confirmed that she *is* a special talent and the leaked, unreleased songs that have been put out there since have only backed this up. A massive new talent and so very different from most of the mainstream stuff out there at the moment. It's about time the US got on-board, they are making themselves look behind the times at the moment, lol.
I think BTD could have gone platinum in the US if it wasn't for SNL.
Anyhow I do think if she plays her card right with the singles (i.e. releases another Video Games), that could push BTD's WW sales past the 5 million mark.
Why? She's a talented artist, different from the current popgirls and she has an unique sound. So, no I'm not shocked and I think she deserves even more success with her future albums.
