This. It's the same with about half of ke$ha's discography. I'm not saying people have to like, or even listen to her music, but if you 'let go' a bit and stop being so uptight (or even pretentious) about music, you'll find that you can bop to some of these songs.
This is just me, but the fact that I find Ke$ha's songs to be horrifically unpleasant to listen to doesn't mean I'm 'uptight' or 'pretentious'. Hell, I enjoy a good number of LMFAO songs (SAIKI notwithstanding) and 'Turn Me On' is one of my favorite hit songs of 2012 so far. But Ke$ha is just too annoying, too grating, too obnoxious for me to bop to.
Uhm, what about "Boyfriend"? It sold 521,000 copies its opening week, stayed at #1 for ages, and was in the top 10 for 3 months, reached almost 60M AI in its first week, and even had a revival on radio and they still didn't let it above the 60M zone.
It stayed at #1 for less than a week...I don't know if that's considered "ages."
In other news, Queen Carly's back to T10, yes! She's coming to tie Mariah's We Belong Together's T10 weeks on Hot 100.

Possible comeback? It's never done that outta nowhere.
I still think would've smashed harder than the solo version. I think Mike's feature would've helped to get some exposure tbh. but im not mad I guess they want Cher to shine by herself.
