Maybe Europe was a bit of a generalization, since I haven't been to most of it in the past year lol. I went to Spain though, and he's massive there. Everybody knows YOLO, and I heard people playing his songs all the time. I never heard his songs on the radio though.
But I would hear his songs in shops and in people's cars, and stuff like that. That's really rare for a US urban artist in Spain I think, since apart from Drake, it was mainly dance-pop I heard people listening to.
In the UK, where I live, I'd say he's arguably the biggest artist of the past 12 months, at least with the younger generation.
Do you happen to know it's current sales?
Good for them! They could be coming for that top spot in 3-4 weeks.
