It was decided before that meeting. The BRATZ lawsuit exposed that, with Interscope and Gaga telling the manufacturer it had to be timed with a 2013 album in April of this year.

She was just playing music for them, probably needed to get approval about the sound so far.
But the album timeline for next year was decided way earlier in 2012, it was just never known until now. (Probably so fans wouldn't be disappointed when nothing came in November)
