ikr. Everyone was dragging the **** outta Capitol when the TOTGA remix was announced, and now that they have lived and learned (hopefully) everyone is begging for one. i don't give a **** if it's the last single of the era, if this song cannot make it to #1 fair and square then I'd rather embrace and accept a top #2 peak.

This could actually be the #1 that got away.. good for Katy though regardless. I can't with people wanting a remix or a discount. Let the TD era close with some class and leave this as it is. The song has done very well

A discount is not a thing that would "bring the class of the era", everyone is overracting like a dicount was that bad.

Ehhh. A discount in itself is not that bad. But it is tacky if it's done in a blatant attempt to hit #1. She's already been in the top 2 or 3 of iTunes for a while, there's no need to discount a song that's already selling very well. She's already collected a bunch of #1's from the TD era.. she doesn't NEED another one. It would be great for her, but it would look incredibly sad if they discounted this, IMO.

But it wouldn't mean that it didn't deserve the #1, even if there is a dicount and that it goes #1, it shows that public loves the song, they still pay for it.

I don't want it to be discounted but that's not that bad.

In a sense, I agree. But I just mean it's tacky in the sense that other songs don't typically get discounted when they're at the top of iTunes. Most songs would sell more if they were discounted with that kind of radio play. Then it could be argued that all the songs were worthy of #1. I just think it's silly if a song is already selling so well, that's all. If it started to drop and fell out of the Top 10 or something, then I understand.

Is it sad when McDonald's or Walmart discounts their products? They already have a lot of market share, they don't NEED the extra sales, but they still do it.

Tbqh, when a song is discounted to 0.69c, the public will think a few things:
1. Oh look, how cheap. I'll buy it and see if it's good.

2. Wow, I want that song and now it's so cheap! How lucky!

3. Is she that desperate? She has so many hits from her album and she's still not satisfied?
