I don't think 4 months is long at all for a lead single.
If she did 5 months, she'd have 1 single released right before the album too after the lead.
Again, it's impossible to guess unless we know if it's one or two leads. If she does two, she'd better not release some religious track for the second again.

Perry has more radio music though so its different ! Gaga wants to put a song called judas on the radio and think people are gonna take it as Candy

I guess cause it was her second single so it did ok ! It sold 2.5 Mill WW !
Judas did pretty well outside of America, I think. My friend told me she used to hear it all the time in Spain.
I guess the song was more EU sounding maybe, and that could have helped it a bit outside the states..I dunno.
8 week on charts here (debut at #9 leaves chart from #13).
I heard it some times on the radio, not that much (I only listened to 1 radio at that time though) but it made and "impact" here..everyone walked around singing "Judas-juda-a-a-Judas-juda-a-a-judas-juda-a-a-Judas-GAGA"
