This is what im saying, if the single is still in the top 20 on itunes dont go releasing a next single ! The current single is still fine, wait till it exits on radio & on the singles chart !

'The Edge Of Glory' was the only single with an impressive chart-run despite Gaga herself trying to sabotage it by releasing it as a promo single and then rushing it as a third single just to give it the worst video ever shot and no memorable performances in the US. Still the song is THAT good that it is close to topping the 3M mark.

Exactly. But I'm just defending Gaga's chance for longevity with the lead single when he said that a 4 month run isn't possible, which I think it is.
I don't think 4 months is long at all for a lead single.
If she did 5 months, she'd have 1 single released right before the album too after the lead.
Again, it's impossible to guess unless we know if it's one or two leads. If she does two, she'd better not release some religious track for the second again.
"I think my second single is going to be Burning Bibles, I'll release it Xmas week"
Her & her team need to wait till the singles drop out of the top 30 and then release the next single ! They were releasing singles while the one before it was still doing good !
I know they're different artists, but Perry released the next single when the previous one was still in top5.
More than what we've expected though.
