I love Hilary but I love Hilary the singer quite a bit more than Hilary the actress. We've had so many films regularly released over the years, and NO music. It's time for a music fix!!! Put all your energy into that and give me an album k? Then read all the scripts you want. I just need more music to hold me over or I'll die from hilary music thirst.

and if that's a script for an indie she better forget it, I don't want her to do anything else besides recording new music, unless the movie in a mainstream one

Hilary's acting was really good in those few indie films, but aside from Greta and War Inc., I didn't like them. What's everyone else's thoughts on them?

They were alright. I enjoyed Stay Cool more when I went to the Tribeca showing I suppose.

Greta and War Inc. were definite standouts though. If anything those should have been the only indies she shot.

I keep telling you all that the problem is NOT indie movies, it's the indie movies that Hilary has picked. If you look at the background of most of the writers and directors for Hilary's movies, outside of Greta and War Inc, most of them have not done that many projects at all. Hilary needs to find the RIGHT script for her, whether it be indie or mainstream, Hilary has a big problem in that area. The only reason War Inc did anything at the box office is because it had the backing of John Cusack. Other stars can pick indie movies and have them do fine in the critical acclaim and box office areas.

Plus, Hilary always talks about how people have this sterotype of her from her Disney days, so that may be a big problem as to why she isn't landing quality roles with better writers and directors.

The only BAD Hilary indie movie was Stay Cool to me. Bloodworth was just alright, I loved her character and wish she would have had more screentime. What Goes Up was good also but it's one of those movies that you either love or hate, many of the Hilary fans didn't understand it. War Inc and Greta were outstanding.

We would all like that but it has to be the right project. I really wish she would have gotten the role in Dolphin Tale, that movie was hit when it came to the critics and box office and it would have placed her back in a good spot in a small way, it was a nice family movie.

Anyway, I am just glad Hilary is working on BOTH sides of her career or at least trying to.

I care about everything Hilary does, but I don't like the roles she has chosen in the last few films she has done. I still watch and buy them though. I am excited about her music more than any other part of her career because I love ALL of her music and it's what she does best.
