Now I really want to hear Settle Down!! If it's as good as the reviews say, ND can come into that top 10 and fast. We'll see!   |

How is this compiled? I would figure it just mirrors the regular top ten..   |

For each position on the hot 100 they get a certain amount of point...#1 gets 100 points, #2 gets 99 points

So their position on Hot 100 determines determines the points they get and position is about the sum of each week

		| The 10-position running tally, presented by Pepsi, tracks the most popular songs based on cumulative performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day through Labor Day. | by cumulative, i'm assuming that they will be taking all digital sales, all streaming points, and all airplay points and giving it a score/ranking (similar to year-end charts) between the periods of May 27 and Sept 2. this probably explains why we still see older songs in the summer songs' top ten lists since they've already had an advantage coming into the first few weeks of the chart.  |

 | That's not how the yearend works anymore. It's based on actual sales, airplay, and now streaming.  |

I don't think the number one will change if Carly gets even two or three more weeks on top.
Her only marginal threat for next week on the main chart is "Payphone" because of its airplay, but I think CMM will survive it, since its sales more than make up for it...
