this. she needs it. keep reminding yourselves though, we're used to Carrie releasing in the 4th period, and seeing her albums rise to platinum/multi very quickly. It was never going to happen this time.
I'm confident she has good enough material to match or even surpass Carnival Ride at this stage. We're still only one single in to this era. "Blown Away" will do wonders.

you're right but i agree, this can be a big era for Carrie

if the label play their cards right, there's no reason why it can't be massive for the country format and Carrie.
we're all here because we love the girl and her music. lets keep actively supporting her, you would be surprised how much of an impact her fans can have on sales. word-of-mouth and such

yep, at the end of the day it all comes down to promotion from the label's part, fans are here for carrie music and always will be.

absolutely right. the true ones anyway. the whole gay marriage fiasco may have impacted somewhat, but I really don't want to revisit that
even though it's her slowest selling album so far, she's still miles in front of other leading female country artists. she overtook Miranda's latest effort (and I love Miranda, so this is absolutely no diss towards her!) in 8 weeks.
regardless of what we might read from a certain stanbase on this issue on other websites (we know who...), Carrie's still well and truly relevant and a force to be reckoned with. I just want the other Carrie stans to know that.

indeed
when i think of female country singers, the relevant ones are a few, and excluding legends like Reba, Shania, nowdays it's Carrie, Taylor and Miranda. The trinity

Yeah before anyone gets upset, you need to remember the 4th quarter is a much busier time for album sales. By now she'd be past a mil had it been released in November.
We just have to be patient.

yup, she opened with 260k which would be the equivalent of 350-400k in the holiday season. it would have been like you said, over platinum by now.
i just feel the moral around Team Carrie is a bit low at the moment. wanna give some perspective. our girl's doing good

but seriously, i love Taylor and there would be a gaping void in country music without her, much like there would be without Carrie. I can't imagine the format without either one of them.

I love Taylor, but I think country radio would be doing just fine without her.

As long as Cupid, Cadillacs, and Whiskey are released as singles after Blown Away, this era will undoubtebly smash

I've already told you.
Good Girl - Blown Away - One Way Ticket - Leave Love Alone - Cupid's Got A Shotgun - See You Again.
And you will deal.

Am I. The only one that thinks See You Again could be bigger than Blown Away

SYA would have indeed more crossover success imo, much more than Blown Away

I think that if her label is smart it will go:
Good Girl- Winter/Spring 2012
Blown Away - Summer 2012
Leave Love Alone - Late Fall 2012
One Way Ticket - Spring/Summer 2013
Two Black Cadillacs - Late Fall 2013
For the last single either Cupids or See You Again. Depends on the mood after TBC if they want to go more fun country or more serious.

Yup I think See You Again would be the best last single.

If the label was smart they'd release Wine After Whiskey.
