I don't want her pulling a Katy. And the blue would look horrendous.

Blue fire tinged with orange outlined her body and face in the background, and her eyes were like blue jewels.
The chorus went like this, "Like a flower scorched by flames, as you burn me I scream your name. From the ashes I rise, just like a Phoenix. Won't ever cry again, I'll stream across the sky, just like a phoenix.
It sounded a bit like MGK Invincible, when Ester was singing, but with a hint of dubstep in the background. It was a dark song.
Let's see if this prophecy comes true, just like my others. Rih did go tribal after all, and egyptian with the sets lately.

So, you heard the lyrics in your dream, and remembered? Right. But I like them tho, and the title. And the dubstep part. Also I like the theme and that it was a dark song.
OMG I WANT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: what kind of lyrical genious?

What kind of amazing lyrics?
Scrap that album cover, replace it with something egyptian themed and name the album Phoenix.
I'd die if this was what happened.

The easiest way to make fun of Rihanna thread is a MESS.
I'm waiting for a poll on Beyonce, Britney, and the other girls though

I still say Rated R is her best "album" it is her only album so far that was really an album and not a collection of singles, nothing wrong with that though, but Rated R felt more as a piece of work. TTT is great and feels like a mix of Loud, GGGB and Rated R soundwise, but it is still not as cohensive as RR to me personally!
I still wish Rih could just take a year off, just to write and to develop an album as a whole, to see her as the first in line as writer on her songs, the girl has gone through all kinds of stuff, I bet we could see some magic if she would pick up a pen as main writer!

I will agree that DJ pushed her to do LOUD, especially seeing as Rih had no credits on it, but the era as a whole and the music just slayed. EVERYTHING about Loud slayed like no other, and I hate how people trash it on here. Loud wasn't generic just because it wasn't as artistic as RR or as ,well, loud, as TTT.
LOUD was nominated for AOTY, which is something TTT will never do. EVER.
And Rihanna's coming even harder with DANCE music with this next era. TTT who?
|
And that's why I can't appreciate it, Rihanna didn't contribute anything to Loud so it doesn't feel like her own album, hell she even did more in her first two eras.
I'm here for dance Rihanna so I don't get the last sentence, Loud was supposed to be "loud" and uptempo yet it was a midtempo borefest.
Okay let me not drag Loud too much, it was actually my fave album of 2010 since it was good for what it was just not for a Rihanna album.

I can't believe I considered it one of the worst on Loud at first.
It took some time, and now it's grown on me. Easily one of the best on Loud.
For instance, CKB >>> OG.
