It's not being naive. PF:RR was originally supposed to be a hip-hop album. She changed it around at the last minute, thus, the album being pushed back. And why couldn't it be? I know Nicki sees the sellout comments....her fans (on twitter and here) have been begging for more hip-hop...plus, she's going to all these countries overseas and they get hyped and excited whenever she performs them. Plus, they know all the words. I'm not saying abandon the pop side, but she needs to cater to the hip-hop side as much as she does to the pop side. It doesn't have to be a full hip-hop album...but the hip-hop needs to be dominant and out rival the pop to the point where we can say "It's a predominantly hip-hop album with a few pop smashes". I know she's going to have at least 3-4 pop songs on the next album..maybe five.
