I just listened to the album. I love it.

It might be my second favorite Maroon 5 album after Songs About Jane.

Deluxe tracks are boring. Album is disappointing on first listen, very few standout tracks. Hopefully it's a grower.

My point was that Overexposed is a weak album. 60+ means it garnered mostly positive reviews. Around 50 is mostly mixed/negative. They actually are a well respected band, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. And if SAJ were on metacritic, it would most likely be the highest one.

lol I don't. I said the same thing about the album when it leaked. The fact that it's getting mixed reviews just adds to what I originally said. Nice try.

Reviews...so what? Reviews are peoples' opinions...that's all. I happen to think it's an excellent album that improves with each listen. If every person on the planet thought it was ****, I would still think it's excellent.

I have a mind of my own. I care about music, not reviews. I feel bad for those who don't though. Bless.

I agree with what you're saying, but it is my opinion that it is a weak album. That's what I've been saying this whole time.

I will maybe surprise you but when Songs About Jane came out, reviewers gave to it mixed to VERY lackluster reviews
The majority were saying to sing "boring and repetitive soul songs in alternative guitar rock disguise" wasn't worthy.

Maroon 5 and critics NEVER were an item: they gave great review to IWBSBL because after Maroon 5 broke out with SAJ (two years after the album came out, and through words of people, not critics) they felt they had to praise the album.

I read some of the metacritic reviews: they all come from very respectable journalists who would NEVEr touch Maroon 5 with a stick.

The most intriguing thing is that often the "track to save" change... they change enough to cover half of the album... if any, that for me is a good sign if any

I've been drowned in discussions about this record and I want to come up with the longest post ever seen on ATRL

Ps: all the people I have played the record with mostly really love the album.

The favorite song by far is Sad.

The truest song of the whole record, the last one written, and the one that was out of Max Martin's imposing will.

That's Adam's farewell song to Anne and he just had to say to everyone: "this just will be on the record. as raw and pure as it is."

Bless that will and last gift: the way he sings it rips everything away

I only like Doin' Doirt, One More Night and Lucky Strike. I was expecting so much more from this album...

It's Ok for them to have done such a "poppier" album, but for the next one I hope they don't do it again

I like the album, but I'll admit it's not up to my expectations. I do like a lot of the songs though. I've only listened to the full thing like twice. I just play a few songs like Lucky Strike and One More Night a lot.
