It's quite surprising cause it did very well on Radio and the video was quite big .

I start to think sometimes , we say Mine wasn't a big hit . but it did 2xPlatinum

Why didn't Back to december? it was also a big hit? not as big as Mine but still big enough to go 2xPlatinum .

Makes me wonder what went wrong .

Yes, and the general audience didn't like it as much, similar, based on hype and debut.

Nothing went wrong apart from the leak.
Mine is in general a sugary bad song for Taylor's standards. I actually wouldn't pick it as a single, far from lead.

Back To December wasn't generic. I'm actually surprised it didn't do better. Was so irritated during those times when it was stuck at low 20s on itunes for weeks. Ugh. *shrugs
