My point was that Adele isn't some critical colossus out of Gaga's league just because a bunch of mediocre pop awards shows seeking ratings decided to claim she's the greatest artist in history after the fact.
Gaga could have sang some Adele songs. She totally wouldn't have been as successful, but it wouldn't have been as awkward as it sounds. She couldn't have done He Won't Go or Take It All or Lovesong, but everything else would've sounded good. Obviously she can't match Adele's tone on SLY or Set Fire To The Rain but it still would've sounded great.

I think only stans think this. From what I've seen, the GP sees Gaga as just weird and strange but the "pretentious" accusations I've only seen from stans.

Well, people do think she's full of herself. That's not representative of everyone, or even a majority.
However, a majority of the population aren't music buyers either.

I wanna be a big gaga fan again but if she makes something like 21 I will loose my hope for her
