Under the circumstances, I think you could call TEOG a success. Okay, it didn't have massive peaks, but it ended up selling well. It only hit #6 in the UK, but will probably end up being a 600k (Platinum) seller by the end of the year...

Gaga's got a break from touring for over a month from mid-July to mid-August, so I hope she is going to...

. Record a music video with a professional director at the start of the break
. Put the first single out during the break (Gaga is a non-factor musically at the moment and has been since Y&I)
. Release the video once the song gains momentum on radio and iTunes
. Do a couple of promo performances here and there, a few radio interviews

I'm from the UK I don't understand the new change and how everything works in America. All I sort of know if 55% airplay and 45% sales and like updates on sales and I've seen the highest peaking airplays of Rihanna songs compared to Gaga's.

I agree with this, to be honest. I just need some new stuff from Gaga soon! I think the rest of the world does also. She may be an irreplaceable touring act, but I think recently chart trends have shown she needs to keep releasing to stay relevant in the chart world. I hope she realises this...

Yeah, I lvoe how much actual longevity TEOG had, and it will certainly reach Platinum one day and Gaga will have another Platinum to add. I'm waiitng for Alejandro to get there :weep: So close but yet so far.

Basically there was a recent change in Mediabase that meant all the AIs increased. Gaga's highest ever was 118M, but I reckon that would be around 130-140M on the new Mediabase system. BTW peaked at 109M, and I think that could have easily hit 120M on the new system...

The break has served her well, my friends keep asking me where she is, and someone from school who doesn't even care about Gaga told me that he was excited for her new album because he saw on MTV that "her manager said it's going to be insane"
