The pop vocal performance category doesn't seem like such a tough category this year. The only ones I can see on lock are kelly's stronger. Apparently set fire to the rain can't be nominated since 21 won as a whole. So a live performance will be sumitted to the nominations.

but for the category eman said, it's not neccesary to blow up to be nominated, ex:

King of Anything was nominated last year for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and charted in 32 in BB100 and norah's song didn't even charted in the BB100, so it can be possible a nomination at least

But they are the type of artist that the grammys love. Demetria might be able to catch their attention after all the critical acclaim GYHAB has gotten.
