PTA... Marilyn Monroe... rather than Whip It and Young Forever... This album is a bit of a flop but I was hoping it should have at least retained SOME longevity.

Pound the alarm is forgettable. Whip It has more catchy and memorable chants like the "na na na " thing

I'm also worried that people won't understand the meaning of "Marilyn Monroe." Young Forever would of been better.

lol people will understand Marilyn Monroe. after all, the song's lyrics borrow from one of Marilyn's most famous quotations (or alleged quotations).

What foolery when there is only the hard cold truth I'm not gonna single out Nicki just cus she's my fave, a flop album is still a flop album PTA is basically Starships with different lyrics and Marilyn Monroe, while it is a good song, won't have as much successful airplay than had she picked YF.

Although I agree that she should of waiting to release PTA considering the fact that it is very similar to Starships there is no proof that the single will underperform or the album will stop selling, so that's just being a bit dramatic at this early point.

It's selling consistently. An album doesn't have to sell 2M in its first week to be considered a successful album.

I like you, but you've had problems with the album since it leaked.

But what you're saying is what I'm saying PTA is a decent song, but the fact that it's basically Starships 2.0 makes it a terrible single choice to be making right now. The album's doing decently and has had its highs and lows, but in the end, I'm pretty sure everyone has had higher expectations than what we've got so far D:
