An inside source told Radar Online that Shelton recently proposed to Stefani after their six month anniversary. Despite receiving a very large engagement ring, Stefani rejected Shelton’s proposal.
“Gwen was very touched, but said she had to wait to make sure it was right for the kids,” the source revealed.
Shelton popped the big question during a picnic at Stefani’s house in L.A. Shelton placed a $1.2 million diamond ring inside a box of fried chicken. Although Stefani was impressed by the ring, she hesitated to say yes because of her kids.
“Gwen fears their age will get in the way of long-term happiness,” the source stated. “She’s 14-years older than Blake’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert!”
