The Jersey Shore cast's 15 minutes of fame still aren't up, and Barbara Walters proves it. The cast is among Barbara Walters' Top 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010, a source reveals to Life & Style. The cast members are gathered in NYC -- Snooki and J-Woww appeared today on Live: With Regis and Kelly and the Situation was on The View, both ABC shows. The cast is scheduled to tape its segment for Walters' special today or tomorrow.
Walters' 18th annual 10 Most Fascinating People special is scheduled to air on Dec. 9 on ABC. The Jersey Shore cast joins the ranks of first lady Michelle Obama, pop star Lady Gaga, rapper Jay-Z and actors Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, all of whom have made the list in past years. While the Jersey Shore cast may seem like an odd choice, reality stars have been making their way onto Walters' sometimes notorious A-list: Kate Gosselin and American Idol's Adam Lambert have found themselves in the top 10 too.
Interest in the cast is at an all-time high: more than 6 million viewers watch the MTV series every week, Snooki is in talks to get a spin-off series and the Situation just finished his stint on Dancing With the Stars.
You'd think a woman who met and interviewed some of the most iconic celebrities and figures in the world, from Michael Jackson to Fidel Castro to Audrey Hepburn, would have higher standards.
