I know similar threads have been done throughout the years, but I'm having a little bit of anxiety and need to chill out.

I've never been to a concert alone, but in 3 weeks, I'm taking a trip to Baltimore to see Beyoncé alone, and the closer it gets, the more nervous I get. I'm less worried about social stigma or judgment for being alone, and more anxious about getting there, parking, and waiting alone. And I keep thinking "what if there is an emergency and you are alone?" (I have a very overactive imagination)

So talking about any event you've been to alone would be great!

inb4 some of you try to scare me more

I went all the way to New Zealand (from England) to stay with my uncle for a month or so once. I was so scared because I had to find my way to their house even though I'd never been to New Zealand before. Not really an event but it felt like one to me. I thought I'd die

That is quite a trip to take alone! And it makes my 3 hour trip to Baltimore seem even more pathetic

I've been to a lot of concerts alone this year, all (5-ish) but 1 I think It was my first time in January, and it wasn't that weird tbh. But I mean, I just take the train, walk 5 minutes to the venue and then walk back to the train station so it's not much to worry about. Waiting alone is sort of awkward though, but with a fully charged phone it's not a big deal to me Sometimes you'll meet people to talk to while in line too, I met a girl in line for Adam Lambert that also went alone so it was a great coincidence we got beside each other in line If you need to go to the bathroom or get food while in line, people are usually nice and will keep your spot while you go to do what you need, so I wouldn't worry much about that. Depends on how early you get there of course.

Honestly, just breathe and try to be calm about it, look at the positive sides (I know this sounds stupid, but it can help me to think this way when I get anxious). Just know it will be worth it and you'll have loads of fun! Most things will go smooth, and if a problem appears either call a friend or family member if you can't find a solution and need someone to talk to

I saw 1D at the Rose Bowl alone in 2014. I was kind of worried about the commute too but I planned ahead and used public transportation so I wouldn't have to worry about parking.

Also, when I studied abroad in England last year, I took a two-day trip to Paris by myself because none of my friends were available due to exams. I was kind of nervous, especially being female and traveling alone, but I took safety precautions like always keeping my handbag with me, staying out of shady areas and not going out at night.

This was actually a super helpful post! Most articles/blogs on going to concerts alone only talk about arenas or smaller venues. I feel like going to a stadium is a whole different thing. But I have my parking pass, hotel room is booked, and my ticket obviously, so logistics are covered. *tries to breathe*

Went to the Mrs. Carter show world tour three times alone. I'm the most self conscious, awkward, nervous person, but not having someone to go with me was not gonna stop me from seeing my favorite artist ever. The first time I was in GA so I was around others, it wasn't so bad until we got inside and I was sitting by myself. I spoke to others but not for the whole time. The second & third time I was in the upper level seats (cause I thought I'd be cold in December but was wrong smh) and more people could see I was alone & no one to really speak to but still enjoyed myself. Oh this was in Brooklyn btw. I was scared af when the concert ended and had to take the train by myself with all my merch. Nothing bad happened tho I know those cab drivers gypped my ass

You're so brave for going alone to a stadium concert. I wanted to do that for the OTR but really was sick thinking about being around thousands and thousands of people by myself. I had to buy my cousin a ticket to come with me

My ex-(then boyfriend) had crowd anxiety during Rixton's act and we had a to leave the arena for like 15 minutes. No shade but, thank God it was Rixton.

It was almost gay pride in NYC last year. I eventually met up with my friends.
