Actually she DID write the book. Her co-writer even admitted that Hilary already had the idea for the book and the characters when she met her. Hilary has given credit to her co-writer in EVERY interview that she has done promoting the book (including metioning her on the Today Show this morning) and the co-writer is very proud of the work she did with Hilary and has praised her writing skills.

Having an idea is not the same thing as actually writing a book. I don't doubt that Hilary participated in the process of creating this book--on an editing and executive level. Do I think she sat down in front of a computer for hours each day to churn out another chapter? Not at all.
Look, ghostwriting is an extremely common occurrence among books authored by celebrities. There's no shame in admitting the truth. It's not like Hilary committed some horrible crime or something.
