No I hate it. I have terrible morning breath, so I always have eclipse mints on me when I stay over at a guy's house. I'll get one when I get up to pee (I always need to pee as soon as I wake up). He'll usually ask for one as well.

I'm always concerned about my morning breath, so I would only kiss with my mouth closed.
You could always tell your partner, it's not outrageous, but make sure to specify that it's only in the morning.
