1985: The Breakfast Club (or countless others)
1995: Clueless
2004: Mean Girls
201?: ?????
Why haven't the 2010's created an iconic teen movie? There have been minor hits, but nothing as influential as the movies mentioned above. Why is this new generation flopping so badly???
because teens aren't the same. Its all about instagram and online worlds. There is no real style/fashion trends anymore. Unfortunately when they look back at high school they will remember nothing.
We'll get one when writers stop trying to recreate past teen films.
There is always some resemblance with teen movies but there is always a twist. Mean girls really was nothing like clueless. The reality is I think there is no inspiration for a movie since teens are kind of just there now. They aren't creating any trends.

Yea, this is true. like what can they make a movie about? social media? selfies? lol
people saying Easy A when it was released in the brink of 2010 nothing about that movie defines the generation of teens today who are all about instagram, snapchat, memes, iphones, the emoticon
