When it comes to her body, Katy Perry is unafraid to talk about it. "I'm curvy, I'm not sample-sized," she told Mashable on a recent Sunday afternoon. The day before the Met Gala, Perry met us at The Waterfall Mansion in New York's Upper East Side, where she was modeling her new makeup collaboration with Cover Girl cosmetics. We sat in a private room and talked about body positivity and the pressures of being a woman in Hollywood. "This cup doesn't fit in and my boobs are down to here," Perry said, with her revealing blue blouse accessorized by a faux fur shawl. "I'm not trying to cover them, either. There have been decades of bad messaging and we are rewiring now. Long gone are the days where you are not socially aware. You can't unsee all that crazy **** and not try to do something to change it." "I think owning the terms is on an individual basis. It's about what you want to call yourself. We don't see ourselves in the same way. I know for me, I'm curvy, I'm not sample size, but I represent a lot of people out there. I want to be relatable. That's really important to me, while not losing my mind in this weird ****ing human experiment I'm going through."
