I love Madonna and it's not the age thing that annoys me, it's the fact that this is extremely reminiscent of last year's Grammy look. It's just tired and has no appeal nor shock value
I completely agree with Wendy about Gaga's look. It's something only Gaga could pull off, and she did it really well. They are wrong about Madonna, though. She's fearless in that outfit, and she honestly looked good.
I agree with the Madonna drags. Why can't she just accept that she's aging and age gracefully? Why is she so insistent on trying to pull off this type of look? This is why the public doesn't respect her anymore.

and this is the reason she won't stop doing what she's doing.
so keep on hating on ha, show your ageism and your sexism.
Madonna is a very smart businesswoman. She knows people are going to be talking about her, whether good or bad. Also, the fact they picked the most horrible pictures and short video to show, when in other videos she looks absolutely radiant and stunning in her outfit. Also her hair was completely on point. I think she looked amazing. She could have walked out with her boobs fully hanging out like she did in the 90's, but she didn't. I think she's being extremely sexual, but it's still tasteful. Anyone who is against Madonna at this point clearly just is a prude. That's just my two cents..

People who focus on the aesthetic of Madonna's looks and outfits, etc.. will never get Madonna. All these people commenting on Madonna's dress or how she looked and make up and what's not are totally missing the point.

Yeah, her looks used to come off as if she was trying to make a statement, but nowadays they come off as just trying to stay relevant.
Gaga's looked cool, but a bit pedestrian for her. It was riding on the jacket, which was great, but didn't seem to translate well. Too subtle for something like this.
Granted I'm not up to speed on all Madonna's looks recently, but it feels like she's more or less worn black, bondagey, studded, sequinned, leather, lace etc. at most events the past few years. Same kind of deal.
I get that she'll continue doing it because it provokes a rise out of people and she's trying to make a statement...but it feels like she's already made it. Why can't she make the point in noticeably different ways? Or create a cohesive look/statement that's interesting enough that it could join her previous iconography?
