“The Danish Girl” star Alicia Vikander has nabbed one of Hollywood’s most coveted leading roles.
Vikander will be playing Lara Croft in the MGM and GK Films’ “Tomb Raider” reboot, it was announced Thursday. Norwegian helmer Roar Uthaug is on board to direct.
Daisy looks more like Lara and I felt the hype surrounding her name would have been amazing for the movie. Alicia's beautiful, talented and an Oscar winner I know but I don't think her name has the same pull.
Although, Tomb Raider is what put Angelina on the map for many people so who knows.
She'll do great, she just needs to beef up a little
Though i still feel it's too soon to reboot, this can backfire like Andrew Garfield as Spiderman. Especially if the director is a no good, which is the case here.

... how exactly is it too soon to reboot Lara Croft on screen when the last film was in 2003 and we've only seen one actress ever portray Lara Croft? The recent games this film will be based on was rebooted in 2013 as well.
She would've been perfect for it.
