Skater confiscator: ‘Dude, you have no Quran’
Those thinking of burning a Quran may have 23-year-old skateboarder Jacob Isom to answer to.
Mr Isom scuppered the plans of a would-be Quran burner in Amarillo, Texas after sneaking up behind him and stealing his copy.
“I said ‘Dude, you have no Quran’, and ran off,” he told News Channel 10.
The thwarted Quran-burner was part of a group of protesters supporting Florida Pastor Terry Jones’ ‘Burn A Quran Day’ – an event that was called off last week.
The group is known as Repent Amarillo an led by David Grisham. They aim to "deter promiscuity, homosexuality and non-Christian worship practices through confrontation and prayer".
As well as taking part in Quran-burning protests, they boycotted Houston after it elected a lesbian mayor and harassed a group of swingers in March.
"You're just trying to start Holy Wars," said Mr Isom to Mr Grisham before handing the book to a nearby Muslim leader.
