She deserves the success because her songs are catchy, but people are desperate to assign the icon/legend label to her when she hasn't really had impact as an artist, just followed trends. All her her albums get mediocre to weak reviews. Her only mark on the industry is girls using fashion to market themselves.

Yes most of her #1s and singles for that matter are just quick lil hits that aren't meant to be remembered. WFL and Umbrella are really her only widely known #1s, the rest are so forgotten. Plus even with all those #1s and top 10s she still hasn't made any cultural impact like Gaga or even Katy
