I used to be a huge J-Pop fan, even studied Japanese at university and moved to Japan for a year driven by a desire to learn the language and better understand the music.
However I feel out of touch with it all, and only just discovered the fairly recent Perfume video for "Star Train" and it made me feel so nostalgic. They are such an ENORMOUSLY talented group - and it makes me sad foreign language music acts aren't recognised more internationally. They are absolute TOP TIER performers and I love how consistently they serve incredible EDM bops, not trend-hopping like USA music does.
