Speaking at The Wanstead Tap in London, Radiohead manager Brian Message confirmed that “the new Radiohead album is out in June will be like nothing like you’ve ever heard."
^ Yeah, I was hoping for a more Bends-era style this time around, but seems unlikely. That's not surprising, though. I just know they can do guitar rock so well, but Thom would rather stick to the electronic elements. I personally didn't like The King of Limbs too much. I think they found a pretty nice happy medium for their genre on In Rainbows.
Hmm.. yes and no. Hopefully Kid A level of never heard, not King of Limbs.
Either way, the wait has been too long. This and Frank Ocean's album are most anticipated albums this year, so
People seem really opposed to King of Limbs and I dont relate at all. I really enjoy Thom Yorke's neutral electronic meanderings. Especially with his solo record "tomorrows modern boxes". i feel like half of the reviews criticized him for making this sort of cyclical electronic music but thats exactly what I enjoy about it. Some people dont find the grayness compelling I guess.
personally im just not down for another the bends or ok computer
More details from Message's talk have emerged, via the Guardian. He described the record as "something that will probably make many of us go, 'Wow!'," adding, "There’s nothing out there right now that sounds anything like this. And for some people that will be a good thing and for others that probably won’t."
