In 2008, Adele burst on the scene with the masterful 19. 19 was a fresh breath of British soul and singer-songwriter, featuring incredible, expressive tracks such as Hometown Glory, Chasing Pavements, Melt My Heart To Stone, Daydreamer, Cold Shoulder, and her cover of Make You Feel My Love. Her sophomore effort, 21, produced a string of iconic hits, songs so ubiquitous that just reading their titles should get them playing in your head (Rolling in the Deep, Someone like You, Set Fire to the Rain, Rumour Has It, Turning Tables). Although Adele's uniqueness was sometimes lost in the bombast of 21, you could still hear her shining through on tracks such as her cover of "Lovesong". It seems that, with her blockbuster comeback 25, she's taken all the melodramatic elements of 21 that detracted from the passion and personality the songs on 19 had, and turned them into an album that seems to be heading in a bad direction. Thoughts? Do you think Adele has been declining with each album?
