This reminds me when I was at work and there was this little boy sitting in the middle of the floor for no reason 9I work at Wal-Mart, by the way). I asked my coworker "whose child is this?" and she was like "His mom said stay, so he stayed."
That picture explains exactly why they're needed. Time and time again little bad ass kids like those get lost in big stores and parents panic + some kids just don't now how to act when you put them down. With that said, you only really need them for the reaaaally troublesome ones.
i can't imagine kids will grow up with a positive image of someone who literally forced them to stay in place all the time and embarrassed them in public with a leash. seems like a good way to make your children resent you
Some kids are really bad and hyper so I guess its needed for certain families.
No one in my family uses these though. If they want their kid to listen they just whip out the belt
When I see it it looks so embarrassing for the parent.
Like you really can't discipline your kid you need a leash? Leashes are for animals.

This is sorta off-topic, but I just wanted to let y'all know that you NEVER put a cat on a leash. They could freak out and end up breaking their neck; it's very sad.
