"Musically, she brings out the best in me," Sean says. "I trust her tastes and admire her style. She's really surprised me, too. On this project, I feel like she's really pushed herself, and tried new things and new attitudes that I haven't necessarily heard from her yet in her solo stuff."
Having just announced Twenty88 last week, they say that many people are still catching on to the new music. They've since performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and put the album on Spotify this week, and will next release a futuristic, Ex Machina-inspired video. Both are readying new solo material for release this year, but hope to sometime tour as Twenty88 and create more projects under the moniker.
"Hopefully Sean doesn't kick me out of the group," Aiko says.
"She's come close a couple times," Sean jokes. "No, but I feel like this is the first offering of many."
