This Japanese macaque monkey was not ready for his close-up. He was taking a bath at the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park in Japan when wildlife photographer Jari Peltomäki decided to snap him. As the 51-year-old took the picture, the monkey looked straight into the camera’s lens and flipped the bird.
“At first I thought he was just playing around, but then he looked straight at me and showed me his middle finger. He looked so serious.”
